Alberto Corso, instructor (sections 001-006).
Alberto is an associate professor of Mathematics and he is the director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Mathematics since 2016. He received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University in the area of Commutative Algebra and held postdoctoral positions at Purdue University and Michigan State University before moving to UK in 2001. He also held visiting positions at MSRI (Berkeley) and the University of Notre Dame. At the teaching level, in recent years he has been involved in redesigning College Algebra, MA109, and Elementary Calculus and Its Applications, MA123, as well as in developing a Calculus sequence for the Life Sciences, MA137 and MA138. Outside of Mathematics he is kept quite busy by Nina, his adorable labradoodle.

David Leep, instructor (sections 007-010).
David is a professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in the area of Number Theory and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Chicago and University of California, Berkeley before moving to UK in 1984. Besides teaching upper level undergraduate courses and graduate courses for many years, he has also taught Elementary Calculus and Its Applications, MA123, and Calculus I, MA 113, many times. Justin Garagnani, teaching assistant (sections 001 and 002).
Justin is a second-year student pursuing a PhD in mathematics at UK. He got his BA in Mathematics from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. His math interests are in the realm of Mathematical Biology. Outside of math he is an avid runner, trivia buff, and loves discovering new music and restaurants.

Jonathan Britt, teaching assistant (sections 003 and 004).
Jonathan is a first-year graduate student pursuing a PhD in mathematics at UK. He received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Francis Marion University with collaterals in Spanish and chemistry. When not doing math, he enjoys soccer, hiking, and table tennis.

Williem Rizer, teaching assistant (sections 005 and 006).
Williem is a first-year graduate student pursuing a PhD in mathematics at UK. He received his BS in mathematics with a minor in physics at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in southwestern PA. He then earned an MS in applied mathematics from the same university, during which he tutored undergraduates in calculus, statistics, and linear algebra. Aside from math, his academic interests include linguistics, astronomy, physics, and psychology. Outside of school, he enjoys playing music (drums, guitar, bass, keyboard), reading, playing retro video games, various sports and other outdoor activities (especially hacky-sack).

Matthew is a first-year graduate student pursuing a PhD in mathematics at UK. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a minor in Computer Science. Outside of math he enjoys reading and playing chess.
