Abstract:
The affine Coxeter group of type A has an explicit combinatorial
interpretation as a group of infinite permutations. In this talk,
I will introduce these permutations and discuss various combinatorial
properties, such as the group's Poincaré series and a generalized
notion of inversion. This talk is based on a paper by
Björner and Brenti.
