Abstract:
There are q-analogues of many objects (factorials, binomial
coefficients, Ferrers boards, derivatives, ...). Given a poset P and
a function f on the incidence algebra that meets certain requirements,
Rodica Simion has developed the notion of an f-q-analogue of P. We
will describe this f-q-analogue. In particular, the similarities
between f-q-analogues for a given f and q and how this f-q-analogue of
P respects the shellability of P under certain conditions.
