Abstract:
The paper of Fu, Reiner, Stanton and Thiem concerns the
interpretation for the q-binomial coefficients evaluated at negative
integers -q. For a particular subset of permutations on {0^{n-k},
1^k}, one can regard a negative q-binomial as the generating function
for the number of inversions. We can also build a (q,t)-analogue of
the q-binomial at -q. An interpretation of negative q-binomials via
Ferrers diagrams is also given.
