Abstract:
For a lattice polytope P the Ehrhart polynomial
is a function which counts the number of lattice
points in the n-fold dilated polytope nP.
In this talk I will sketch MacDonald's proof
of the volume of a lattice polyhedron.
I will also review some facts about
Ehrhart polynomials and recent results
of Beck, De Loera, Develin, Pfeifle and Stanley.
